What is a more fun way to start 2019 than a huge awards show? I have been on vacation for 2 weeks and was so sad to get back to work tomorrow..realizing that the Golden Globes were on tonight really made my day!!!

These awards didn’t really go the way I was expecting (poor Bradley Cooper) but I watched on a delay and was able to fast forward through some of the slower parts. On to the Oscars!!
Awards season is so much fun. The most entertaining is the Golden Globes, where everyone is at tables and drinking alcohol and running in to friends. This year’s Red Carpet was an interesting one..not too many stand outs, lost of pretty dresses though and a bunch of not so great ones. Yikes…
Jennifer Lopez looked AMAZING in Giambattista Valli
Alicia Vikander in Louis Vuitton
Jennifer Lawrence in Dior
Brie Larson in Calvin Klein
Jane Fonda in Yves Saint Laurent..some people didn’t like this one but seriously she is 78 years old and she looks great!
Kirsten Dunst in Valentino Haute Couture
Kate Bosworth in Dolce & Gabanna
One of my favorite Instagram feeds, Evelyn Henson drew Kate
Jenna Dewan-Tatum in Zuhair Murad and with the best accessory Channing
Emmy Rossum in Armani Prive
Sylvester Stalline with his incredibly beautiful family. His win was one of my favorites of the night.
Gina Rodriguez in Zac Posen
My favorite moments…
Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio had a little reunion and everyone lost their minds about it…
Don Draper won for his last season on Mad Men
Ryan Gosling and Brad Pitt announced an award and the two of them were so cute…
Sylvester Stallone won for Creed and got a standing ovation-love
Maura Tierney won for Best Actress in a Drama Series for her roll in The Affair
Lady Gaga bumped into Leo on the way up to the stage and his reaction was so funny…
and then Leo won Best Actor for his role in the Revenant. It’s about time for him to win an Academy award…
I love award season,
You know I love a good awards show and the Golden Globes is my favorite. I was exhausted from traveling to Atlanta for the day and mistakenly planned my trip on the same day as the Golden Globes…but got home and got to zoom through the commercials and get to the good stuff. The fashion was amazing..here are some favs…
Margot Robbie in Gucci
Amy Pohler in Stella McCartney
Julie Bowen in Carolina Herrera
Naomi Watts in Tom Ford
Allison Williams in Alexander McQueen
Sofie Vergara in Zac Posen and Lorraine Schwartz necklace
Rashida Jones in Fausto Puglisi
and the most beautiful dress in my opinion was Cate Blanchett in Armani Prive-wow!
On to the Oscars,
Each year, right in the middle of January, the delightful Golden Globe Awards come on and just start the whole awards show madness. This particular show is always a lot of fun because the stars are at tables with their friends drinking the night away. It makes for some good tv. The red carpet is another story, lots of action. Here are my pics for best dressed last night…
Kate Hudson in Alexander McQueen
Amazing co-host Tina Fey in L’Wren Scott
Anne Hathaway in Chanel
Kristin Wiig in Michael Kors
Jessica Alba, beautiful in Oscar de la Renta
Emily Blunt in Michael Kors
Claire Danes, one month after having a baby, looking amazing in Versace.
Salma Hayek in Gucci
Jennifer Lawrence in Dior
Jennifer Garner in Vivienne Westwood
Juliana Margulies in Pucci
Alison Williams in J. Mendel
Isla Fisher in Reem Acra
The whole show was entertaining..there were a few standout moments for sure…
Before the show started, a chance meeting of George Clooney and Juliana Margulies actually had me teary. I LOVED them together on ER and they seemed so genuinely happy to see each other.
President Clinton surprised everyone when he came out to announce Lincoln as a best movie contender.
Kristen Wiig and Will Farrell doing the funniest skit announcing the nominees for Best Actress in a Comical or Musical. It was hilarious.
Ben Affleck, winning a Best Director for Drama Golden Globe for Argo, one of my favorite films last year.
It was such a great show…I love a good awards show and this one if my favorite.
Ahhh, the Golden Globes..I have been planning my whole weekend so I can be in front of my television to catch all the coverage. Can’t wait to see all the fashion and thought a recap of past favorites was in order. So many good ones, but these are the stand outs for me…
Kate Hudson 2003-might be my all time favorite
Reese Witherspoon 2006
Kiera Knightley 2006
Reese Witherspoon 2007-this was her “I don’t need you Ryan” coming out dress…
Cameron Diaz 2009
Eva Mendez 2009
Claire Danes 2011-
Sofia Vergara 2012-all I can say is wow on this one.
Tomorrow will post tonights best and worst..so excited.
So love the Golden Globe Awards…kicking off awards season very nicely. This year, these are my fashion pics…still trying to pin down a picture of Michelle Pfeiffer, who looked stunning! This year’s red carpet was filled with fish tail gowns..not a fan..they look so bizarre to me. I loved Moneyball, The Descendants, The Help and need to see a bunch more, clearly The Artist.
Loved so many of the dresses from last night’s Golden Globes.
Eva Longoria in Zac Posen
Jennifer Lopez is consistently perfect looking..make up, hair in and especially pretty in her Zuhair Murad dress.
Loving Diana Agron from Glee in J. Mendel
A true movie star, Catherine Zeta-Jones in Monique Lhuillier. When her husband got a standing ovation..I couldn’t help but tear up!
After zipping through the Atlanta Gift Show in record time, I succumbed to the $50 Delta change fee to get home earlier so I can see the Golden Globes live. I must have been in a fog when I booked my ticket-originally getting me home after 10pm! I haven’t seen all the movies but I did see The King’s Speech and absolutely loved it. My fingers are crossed for Colin Firth, Jeremy Renner from the Town, Julianna Margulies for The Good Wife and anyone from Glee!
Fashion recap tomorrow!
She is becoming the gold standard in my book, always looks flawless!
I can forgive the sea urchins on her shoulder and hip because I am thrilled she won her Golden Globe. Grey Gardens was fabulous and she deserved it!
This dress is amazing..she looks fantastic..can’t wait to see Young Victoria
I am so excited..the Golden Globes is one of my favorite award shows. The dresses, the stars and both tv and movies..love love love. In the spirit of the awards, I am posting some of my favorite all-time red carpet looks. There were some I couldn’t find, so I might be adding to this soon…
It’s starting…woo hoo!
